The Billboard Art Project

The billboard art project is a movement that acquires digital billboards and turns them into roadside galleries of art from local artists. Artists can submit artworks they previously made, or create something site-specific for a particular billboard. It began in 2005, started by a man with no background in art, but a connection with an advertising company.
